The curriculum of this doctoral program is based on a theoretical and applied education within the framework of a multidisciplinary content. Today, infection control and hospital infection rates are accepted as a quality indicator in all inpatient treatment institutions. After the Ministry of Health made it mandatory to establish infection control committees in all hospitals, the need for qualified infection control doctors and nurses and auxiliary health personnel dealing with nosocomial infections arose in all hospitals in our country. In order to prevent these infections, certification trainings and courses are organized within the Ministry of Health, and the shortage of infection control doctors and nurses is tried to be closed. Due to the inadequacy of qualified health personnel in this regard, this program has been included in the priority areas by the Council of Higher Education. At a time when nosocomial infections gain a lot of importance and there is a need for qualified people trained in this field, the aim of opening the Hospital Infection Control Doctorate Program is; It is the training of professional health personnel who will serve in all inpatient treatment institutions and who will be employed in public hospitals, who have gained experience and trained in hospital infection control.
